My line manager is a real classy a–hole and has been messing with me since day 1. I know that he will not score me well if he can get away with it. I am wondering if the backstop against any bias happening is real and if it will actually help. My LM even went as far as to comment on my mid year review that I am "still coming up the learning curve" after 4 years of being here and couldn't even talk me up with all this going on. I have been involved in an OpenTalk investigation with this person and a third party saw how he was acting and being derogatory with me so they opened the investigation on my behalf. That whole thing was absolutely useless and just led to more animosity with my LM. Needless to say, I don't feel super confident about me landing a position here UGH.

My advice? Get your file by using a SAR (if you’re in the U.K.). Any BS in there, take them to an employment tribunal.
Had a similar thing happened to me in ‘16. LM still unaware I (and a lot of others) know the stunts he pulled.
Needless to say his name is now trash around the O&G industry.
BP always sides with LM. It is the easy way out. Never trust OT. Full of snake investigators and weak morals.
Unless there is a violation of some law, the company will side with LM. Prepare to lose your job!
Stick with it. I am an ex-BP and was bullied (witnessed by many) for my last 2 years. OpenTalk didn't even respond to me.
Not uncommon.
How uncomfortable! Not clicking with your LM is the worst feeling.
