Thread regarding Enbridge Inc. layoffs

Rate ‘em all exceptional. Let senior management sort it out.

I’m putting this out there because year end reviews are on the horizon.

I don’t know how many people leaders look at this forum, but I’ve seen my staff put their heart and soul into this year. And in return they get wage role backs, forced return, forced vacations and the pleasure of covering multiple jobs due to VWO. They’re burnt out and smiling. Enbridge sends out cutsie notes asking us to be caring and understanding but the truth is Enbridge depends on it. If the staff didn’t put up with this c-ap the company would be done.

Let AM rank everyone in the company, all other people leaders should recognize the Herculean effort and rank all staff exceptional. Budget isn’t my problem, I don’t collect 10x the salary everyone else does.

I agree. My team and my whole department are running on fumes and still cranking out amazing work with 25% fewer staff, giving 110% for less salary.

My team is all exceptional and I don't know how you rank one over the other in these times

To the poster who said I should just enjoy my life and not post here, first of all, you responded in the wrong thread. Know where you are. I don't need to answer your taunt but I will anyway. I sadly still have Enbridge stocks so I am still interested to know what is happening. This is a good forum for venting on those who are screwing up. What about you ? If you are having a good time with Enbridge, why spend your time here. As the saying goes, misery loves company. You are miserable, too.

One of the main problems no a says is that in the 80s wall street learned they could own companies. Such as Enbridge. When a company is owned by an individual or a family the company takes on the moral compass of the owner- good or bad- however when Wallstreet owns the compant the CEO is rewarded solely on stock price and dividends. Hence no compass.

To whoever posted that they left the company a few years ago and are much happier - good for you. That is outstanding. Why are you still posting on this site? Do you actually miss the company and want back in after realizing all large companies have the same politics or are you just a miserable person in general?

The company does not care about us.
The company only cares about its stock price. They could a s*it about us.
We have great people with in this company that do give everything.
I used to be one of them. It took years for me to wake up and see but it finally happened. Now I could not be any happier. Now I care for the company as much as they do for me...

I wonder what performance objectives the execs are held to ? Stock price ? Employee morale ? Projects completed ? Social responsibility ? And who rates who ? For what the company has become, I will rate them all poor performers.

That's the problem: they put their heart and soul into it. Stop doing that because you're never going to get rewarded for doing it.

There are a lot of people working in the company that know their job is coming to an end soon. Ask yourself, if you knew you were about to be shown the door, would you give a sh– anymore?
