You should ALL still be worried. Marathon treated andeavor employees like c-ap. Y’all thought you were safe and then they did this. It WILL happen again. Please, whenever the job market is better or whenever you find an opportunity, ditch marathon. There’s SO much better out there

MPC did a 8-K filing where they say most notifications should be sent by Thursday, October 1. Any notifications after that are probably going to be for those that were sick or on vacation this week.

Just saw a statement released of 2000+ employees to be laid off and will be notified Thursday. I found out late today I am safe. I'm somewhat relieved bc I'm too close to retirement to start over.

Cuts began at GBR (Texas City) yesterday. I haven't heard of any today at that location.

Layoffs will continue until morale improves.

G&P email said that layoffs would continue until Thursday, I'm not sure how other areas are doing it. And yes, as mentioned the layoff resources are pretty generous. It s—s but could be a lot worse (I was laid off yesterday btw)

My opinion is that if you haven't explicitly seen your org's new structure, you aren't safe yet.

Packages seem to be above average and they're offering resources to help people land on their feet. It won't be fun but stay positive.
