Thread regarding Accenture layoffs

Jimmy E calls is “Payroll Actions” AKA Cuts so his bonus is bigger

What an insensitive comment to share to HR professionals. HR at Accenture is a joke and very disorganized and one hand doesn’t speak to the other in unison. Either way, they had to clear out the “low performers” that they force-ranked based on who likes who and make way for Workday implementation as of last week and make sure we get those folks off the books by Sept 30 so we can all pretend come Oct 1 that all is just fine and move forward without them so they don’t have to bonus them or let them have benefits or stock options. Accenture you are pathetic in the way you are not “truly human” so much for giving people the “space and grace”. Modern HR my rear, you will never be a well-oiled machine as the hr services are a joke

I was just let go for "Low-Performance". Its weird because the last time and only time I have ever had my performance in question was 2 or 3 months ago. I was given a warning and told that if my performance slipped in the future I would be formally written up and could possibly be put on final probation and then could potentially loose my job. But then last month I was awarded "Rewards Points " for my performance. Then my internet went out on my laptop and I work from home so they had to order and then setup a new laptop for me which took 2 weeks. So I was out of work for 2 weeks and still paid. I finally got my laptop and spent the next week getting back into the swing if things and working around little huddles in my laptop abilities and programs. I was only back for 2 weeks and got a notice for a confidential meeting with the person that gave me the performance rewards and the site leader. Of course the meeting was to let me go for "performance " reasons. WHY would they let me go for performance when I had only been officially working for 2 to 3 weeks since I was rewarded for outstanding performance? Questionable at best!

I hate it when HR or Marketing Posts Meaningless CYA Comments on this site. It's so obvious when they are trolling...it trivializes the feedback from those who have dedicated and invested years of their lives to this company.

"Truely Inhuman" and Evil.

HR works and protects the company, not the employee. It's a shame you and most people don't understand their role

That’s a shame that people’s lives are just little casualties that are probably already forgotten about. Sad to hear
