Thread regarding Sears layoffs

Boyle Heights Sears store

There are currently only nine Sears stores still in operation in California. It wasn’t all that long ago when there were over 80. The Boyle Heights store and the crumbling massive, yet prominent, structure that surrounds it can not continue much longer in its present state. Change is inevitable, especially in Boyle Heights.

Other than the possible error about how many Sears stores remain open in California, this was a well-written article with a lot of history about one of the chain's more atypical locations. I enjoyed reading it. I'd call it a feature rather than hard news.

Who exactly is this Forbes guy who keeps writing these fluff articles that have very little (if any) new substance to them? I mean, what news is he actually providing? Well, my first question is rhetorical, I Know what his name is, but I am just wondering what news his articles actually convey that we do not already Know?

HaHa! There’s should probably only be 12 Sears stores left overall in the US.

The writer re-edited his story to say "twelve Sears stores still in operation in California" after I exchanged some e-mail with him.
