Really Giant Eagle?? As the Pandemic worsens its so important to your company to make sure you are open for business on Thanksgiving? I truly wonder if the executives who made this decision can honestly look at themselves in the mirror each day. pathetic!
I guess it is true when they say "You can always be replaced at Giant Eagle just not at home"
Fuel sales might be down (only slightly) but what Getgo is making on a gallon of gas is up significantly.. And why not keep Getgo open on Thanksgiving to make more money.. Not adding up. There is more to it. Dig deeper and you’ll find out
As long as fuel sales are down, stores have to stay open. Only part of company making money. If GetGos stay flat and store sales decline, going to be a rough 2021.
No it does not need to be open. And take it from someone who has some inside information. Giant Eagle is only staying open on Thanksgiving just to prove a point to a particular organization.
There is no need for Giant Eagle to be open on Thanksgiving other then pure greed. The longer you work for Giant Eagle the more you realize it’s not a good company at all. They struggle to find help they struggle to keep help and they wonder why. Just look at the help they are hiring. I guess it’s true when they say desperate people will do desperate things.... Ah, alas, the VP for Ohio wants everyone that works Thanksgiving to do so voluntarily with nobody working “because they have to”. The entire store will be FILLED with employees that VOLUNTEERED to WORK on THANKSGIVING!
So what’s a bigger joke, the company caring that their employees continue to risk everything for nothing, OR that the VP ACTUALLY believes they are there voluntarily?
