Thread regarding General Atomics layoffs

Are more layoffs coming?

Has anyone heard of more layoffs coming in January? Earlier posts have said to expect more. I have not heard anything. People are leaving this Company, they don't feel secure here anymore.
I heard the financial outlook does not look good either and won't pick up until at least late next year.

Over the past 16 years the aerospace industry has been doing fairly good now with the winding down of military engagements the use of theses UAVs really has no application. GA needs to promote theses platforms for other uses and also supervisors have been saying there’s a strong possibility that more layoffs are coming.

Layoffs will happen again next year although it will be smaller due to an incredible high turnover rate and the hiring freeze. But defense and especially aerospace does not have a bright future at least over the next 4 years

I don’t think layoffs will be in Q1 due to some new orders coming in. GA should try to find non military use for drones internationally. But if. I thing comes around there will be layoffs before the close of the fiscal year. Forecast numbers are bleak and very discouraging.

At the rate pple are leaving they may not need another layoff but supervisors have been floating possible layoffs bc of issues with the products design etc and the cost to fix the issues. We are getting written up for breaking things that were proorly designed! Just seems like money’s tight! I really hope not bc it would s— for us who survived the first layoffs.
