Honestly, I never got this? There is enough work for everyone. Many people are putting in very long hours. Just spread the work.

Slow down, enjoy your life, and work on your resume. HPE won't exist in few more years. It died on the day it hired Carly Fiorina.
Working long hours is a fool’s game. You get nothing for your efforts but heart disease, divorce, and alcoholism. And interestingly enough, you are usually the first to be laid off.
When will the stock analysts see through HPE management's b.s. ? Laying off sales staff so they can move to a "Partner First" model? Seriously? HPE management has made this mistake before. They have always failed to appreciate that the resellers not only sell HPE products, but also those of HPE's competitors. The loyalty of the reseller's sales staff to HPE has never been assured. Over the years, I've seen many examples of this type disloyalty resulting in lost sales. It reminds me of another self-inflicted fiasco caused by HPE management. A few years ago, HPE laid off all of their field service staff and told them they were outsourcing their jobs to Unisys whom they could reapply to if they wanted to keep their job, albeit with less pay and benefits. Many chose not to, others did but didn't stay long. Field support for HPE products has been a disaster ever since. Another brilliant act of cost cutting by HPE that may have helped their profit margins in the short term, but by throwing away one of the few positive differentiators that HPE had going for it, they did tremendous damage to their long term viability.
been going on forever.ITS a rigged game ,threpeople at the top always win
Answer: HPE leadership is stupid and evil.
You must have missed Antonio’s speech about reducing corporate costs until 2022... and that speech about acquiring a company for $2bil recently... and that speech about providing EaaS (everything as a service)... Wow, this company has no idea what it’s doing.
The company is in a death spiral. They don't know what to do other than cut costs to preserve earnings per share
Clueless management.
The executives have to hit financial targets to get their very lucrative multi-million dollar bonuses. So to lay off 100 people in order to get $8M is a no brainer if it will help them to achieve their goal.
The executives don't care about you or the customers, they just want to hit their bonus targets
