I am a Sales Account Manager for The Optum Nursing Home SNP. We have a mandatory months end meeting - thinking this is going to be bad.... anyone else have thoughts on this?

True Stockholm Syndrome/ Gaslighting going on here. It's beyond sad but when good people leave who are top producers, good for them for leaving! Even the low producers have landed jobs that have left. Leave now! I did and I am so happy!
They are not managers. They are task masters. It takes a great deal of effort to manage people. No effort to be a task master.
Your mom dies. You sent email you have to be at a funeral. You never get email back. Days later you get email about finishing some project. Task Master. True story.
If you get laid off, they send you email saying your job is gone.
As far as health executives go....the only ones with integrity...quit.
So while a certain degree of nonconformity and unconventionality is needed to drive innovation and entrepreneurship, any leader will need to have a minimum level of integrity, empathy and altruism to be able to connect with and focus on the well-being of their teams, rather than on advancing their own personal agenda.
Yes, agree our management is a JOKE! This was emailed to me. Sound familiar? 15 unmistakable qualities of a bad manager. In our case Sales Manager/Sales Director/Those who reference themselves as "Senior Leadership."
15 unmistakable qualities of a bad manager:
- Takes credit for others’ work
- Doesn’t show appreciation or give recognition to employees
- Micromanages
- Unable to trust (control freak)
- Plays favorites
- Doesn’t provide clear or realistic direction
- Is unavailable or avoids tough conversations
- Lacks formal education
- Unable to listen and respond to feedback (poor listener)
- Doesn’t lead by example
- Lacks humility or self-awareness
- Manages with fear, not fairness
- Is complacent about poor performing or toxic team members
- Doesn’t follow through or recognize their own responsibilities
- Doesn’t live up to workplace values
Our management has been a joke - people coming and going.... no one really knowing what is going on. Many of the facilities we’re contracted with are failing. Leadership has struggled in our market and the numbers reflect that. I have been looking for other work for a few weeks now. Need to get of this sinking ship!!
Remember, in opposite world: down is up, and up is down. Go corporate america
Looks like some talented people have left this division of Optum lately and some sadly let go. From what I've heard only the Sales Account Managers are bringing in revenue (i.e. ENROLLMENTS!) and the most critical component of the ISNP being the Practitioners are so overworked and stretched, it's shameful!
Hemorrhaging where it counts, great business plan.
Remember. Anything has happened before and is possible. I've heard of layoff meetings scheduled for a group in advance.
No it's even worst - TRAINING from our corporate Karen's that have no clue! So pathetic but so predictable...COVID started in early this year and they are now deploying IPAD's ? Really? LOL! Hello, most all of healthcare, pharmaceutical, and medical companies have had this basic "IPAD " tool since the early 2000"s....
OMG I am so embarrassed to be at part of the ISNP plan we are being led by buffoons.!
Definitely not a layoff meeting if scheduled this far in advance. Usually layoff meetings come same day and say mandatory.
