FURLOUGH Deadline Past - How to Confirm if Officially Laid Off

Now that the last furlough extension is over, as of November 15th, is any employee not called back officially LAID OFF? Is there going to be a confirmation letter or email sent to these people?

I've not been called back and was told I wasn't going to be called back by my store manager, but I still have the option to buy health insurance for December at the 88Sears website. I called benefits and they say I'm still listed as furloughed. Perhaps there's a lag in announcing layoffs officially.

Anyone have information on this? Thanks.

Have you filed for unemployment? How many weeks do you have left? Look for another job.

Yes. I understand part timers aren't getting severance. I'm just curious how they receive official notice they are laid off and no longer on furlough.

If you are a full timer and answered the survey that you were available to work then you should have received your severance package via email yesterday. If you have not received it, contact the store manager or human resources. All others are gone. Pretty sad but true. Wishing everyone the best going forward.
