A Chance To Make 301 A Union Again, Is It Possible?

Possible shake up happening with the BA and P positions at 301. The current P must go for any chance to build back a real Union. We need a P that will look out for us as a whole, instead of only himself and his fam. We need a P that won’t lie, one that we can trust, the current P has lied for years and continues to lie. FYI...lying only buys more charges. Elect a new P now, before the sh-tstorm begins. I give it no longer than 4 more months.

Bob who? Family, married, children to get hired, wtf? Naw...it’s much deeper than nepotism with that clown. The current P deserves to be in prison for the corrupt sh-t he participated in with the ex BA, as well as the sh-t he does. It’s only a matter of time before he’s held accountable with the others. Those fools have some serious denial going on if they really believe they won’t be caught. Actually, they’re already caught, 5 years back will add charges I’m sure. They know what’s coming their way. They were warned. They were given multiple chances to correct themselves. Now they’re f-cked. Where’s the Treasurer been? Is he already trying to hide? Too late for that.

A true union leader would never even think about his own family being hired over and above other union member’s family. Okay for family members to be hired but just wrong if they are hired during the time you hold an union position. FAVORITISM and conflict of interest in the worse way for yourself and them over and above the very ones you represent.

The time to save 301 is here! Out with the old and in with the new. Let’s replace our current officers with guys that don’t have half their families working here. The company owns them and they make sweetheart deals for their friends and families. We absolutely cannot let this opportunity pass! Let’s get this done!!

Any elected official will agree with you about a complaint and walk away and forget about it. Most but not all elected officials are out for the gravy train of a ride. They want the pay without the physical work. What happened to piece work? Went to hourly for honest days pay. Now it’s not a numbers game it’s stay busy for GE in a sweat shop. That’s not talked about any more it gets sidetracked about saving jobs. Part of a union is to have established jobs based on seniority. The sweetheart deals took them away to make the next wave of layoffs easier for the hall. At the same time the company benefited largely. I’m glad I pay less in dues now and I’m sure the legacy rates are fired up over that.

Some union different rules for different times.

GE will never look beyond the ones holding the President or BA’s position in 301 (in excellence of worker qualities, integrity, ethics, knowledge of all from plant floor worker to laws and knowledge of (union) representation skills, preparation in workable changes to benefit you and company/negotiations, etc.) beyond ur elected officials to you and to the whole members of 301. Companies base their opinion and views of the whole membership on who YOU elected as a whole. In other words, if you are only voting for your friends because YOU want to be closer with one in these positions for your only individual need and they lack the education and knowledge dealing with the company, they will never be taken serious and neither will you/membership! Therefore, you will never obtain betterment as a whole! Look beyond your individual self for the membership and the Local! ! Never vote for one for these positions if they are not smarter or more knowledgeable than company’s own representatives! Stop hurting yourself and everyone else who is serious about holding down their job with benefits and not having to worry about their family’s livelihood! These families have little children and grandchildren! Get over yourself!

I'm in favor of a BA that agrees to cut job, wages and benefits to save whatever jobs can be saved.
If Wal-Mart is paying $ 15,00 an hour, $ 16.00 an hour looks pretty good :-). Grandfather the wages of those here already.

For those that where actually present at todays meetings, its so very crystal clear how many don’t have a clue! From those that just want their pal to be elected, to those making shady bs deals to get nominated, to the lack of any desire to know where your hard earned money goes!! Its so, so very sad that those that came before us, often times worked hard to get things, for todays id–ts to just hand out and give away!!!

1950 called they want their Union back, losers. It's funny because in 2020 you can tell by whose posting on this website that unions actually take away your power not give it. In a post World War II world where 70% of goods were made in the US they needed our US workers so they had to work with unions that hasn't been the case for at least 30 years.

It will never be what it was. Look at the history from 2011 on and you will find your answer. From the birth of the t rates and how we were treated versus the D’s by both management and the hall. To today. No wonder why so many left and never came back from layoffs.

That’s the kind of BA we used to have, the one that lied to us about why he was “resigning” and then went MIA like all cowards do.

The damage is done! GE has won and our job security is lost. Years of lies and BS has finally caught up to both the company and our weak union. The damage was done with the split pay scale. That showed the company we are weak. Now every threat of job loss the union jumps to give back. Now look at the job classifications. C operators are entry level and eliminated 50 jobs. This place is a joke and I’m on the bottom of the list waiting for my pink slip and mini vacation.
