I recently interviewed for a job for which I was very well qualified. There were multiple interviewers, and one of them happened to be an ex IBM employee. This person clearly had a beef with IBM. Obviously, she had been laid off in the past. Her body language and demeanor made it clear that she hated IBM.
I was not offered the position. The recruiter told me that this particular person's feedback was okay, but not great like the others', and they wanted great feedback across the board.
I have good skills, and I'm already interviewing for other jobs, so this was not a big deal, but it made me think of all the posts in this board and others where people say they hate IBM. There are lots of great people at IBM. They are the only reason IBM is still standing after so many bad executive decisions.
If you have the chance to help others find a job, help them. Do not take your resentment for IBM out of someone who's trying to make a living and support their family. Hurting them says more about you than what it says about IBM. Good luck to everyone who's job hunting!
