Thread regarding Teradata Corp. layoffs

Cisco connection?

What has amazed me over the last 6 years is the erosion of culture and knowledge that was Teradata. How many Cisco employees can they bring in, that have failed one after another. SY, TB, BD and others. They thought we were selling commodity products (what color would you like). Last time I checked, data management and what TD was best at was not that way. It was a strategic sale. Things are certainly different now in the totally distributed world - but never understood the Cisco connection to leadership.

Excellent question, @4top+17TVhN5M . Was wondering what's up with that Cisco connection, too.

Agree with you completely. And without any clue about business we are in they are brought in senior roles and trying to teach people how to sell Teradata.

SB created a big organization structure with CFL, CS .... even though TD only has few products. these roles make sense for companies with huge product list or organizations selling laptop or routers.

SB Should do one last favour take all the people he brought in along with him.
