If I don't get picked in December and instead resign in January, will I still get my 2021 vacation pay?

Won't be an issue as soon as HR implements "Permissive Leave Policies" which basically eliminates the annual allotment of vacation (Ex. 4 weeks per year) and has no specific limit on the amount of leave an employee takes.
Sounds great at the onset right, but guess what Mi Amigos: if your boss does not approve your requested time off, you are out of luck. Even worse is when you are laid off, the company does not owe you any "vacation pay" because there is not an accrual mechanism and the best part is (from company's perspective} wait for it...…they don't have to accrue for it and count it as a "liability" on their balance sheet.
Shh, hope some flunky in HR doesn't steal this idea and implement it to improve the bottom line!

Take your silly holidays with you - you get nothing for nothing.
And why should you, silly nit?
Vacation pay is earned as of the first of the year so you should. The PH days you don’t. It would be easier to just take the vacation time imho including the PH days.
