Every year at this time the company makes us sign documents confirming our standard of conduct (ethics, conflict of interest). I think it's ironic that we employees have to sign off, while the company has clearly violated the ethics standard with the way they handled the false rankings, bogus PIP in the summer, and the lame layoff process currently underway. If only the company management would not be a bunch of hypocrites! Why don't they follow the same standard of conduct they expect us to?

All the training is to protect the company in a lawsuit or damage to reputation. Wish we could go back to the days were we just had to ‘certify we understood.’ The old process took way less time....and eliminates hours and hours of ‘training’ for items we have memorized by this point. The current system just builds on the ‘pointless meeting culture’ that robs from ability of employees to be productive and impact the bottom line. Give the longer training to new hires. Let everyone else just read the pamphlet.
Has anyone even evaluated whether all the expanded in-person, and online, and by email redundant training has lead to a decrease in violations? I bet it hasn’t. In my opinion, people either tend to be ethical or not.
Screw all you sh–ty employees that were let go. Companining about ethics. Haha. At the end of the day you were tossed on the side of the road like the garbage you are.

Oh contrare Mr. @tcb. Senior management clearly lied about several aspects of the 2020 ranking and PIL/PIP to try to disguise their true intentions from the government and the investment community. It’s hard to spin that as ethical behavior. Of course you didn’t bother trying. You just resorted to name calling. The typical response from intellectual lightweights like yourself.

Very good points. For senior management, expediency supersedes ethics. It would be too difficult for them to practice what they preach! It’s just another example of their Golden Rule - the guy with the gold makes the rules.
