Thread regarding Raytheon Co. layoffs

Did UTC prompt investigation after looking at books?

Hearing it may be a possibility. Possible merger dissolution? Law suits for breach? Several class action suits currently, which will cripple UTC/RTX. UTC sues to recoup losses from subsidiaries, and then dissolution?

gtey+17Unayus pension funds are federal protected and can't be "played with". The last time Raytheon tried that was in the 90s and got into litigation because of it (put pension funds into the market and took some of the profits). So, in essence, it may make the books artificially look good, but can't be "played" with.

United technology is way more than commercial aero united got lucky with Raytheon‘s pension and retirement they were I think 90% funded meaning available in funds whereas united technology retirement I believe was funded at 50/65% so there was money to be played with for sure: there’s way more to this picture than simply defense contacts people

Not going to happen. Raytheon is keeping the new company afloat . If there was no merger UTC would file for bankruptcy .

Other than UTC's military contracts, how else will it stay afloat without Raytheon? I find this hard to fathom.
