Ricoh's problem is they protected all their copier salespeople and got rid of those that understood document and data capture culminated with business process workflows. Ricoh acts like it is smarter than it really is. The good old boy system has caught up to them.

Wow just saw a video of the new Ricoh. Scary enough it appears they are putting a new spin on the service led strategy that destroyed all profit. Have to notice they didn't mention core products in the video. I'm with the consensus it sounds like machine base/service will be going to the dealers. It makes even more sense when you consider the number of dealers that are teetering on the edge of going under. Added base might make the difference of them staying in business.

I would have to say then that the end goal is to send the copiers and printers sales and service to the dealers. It offloads all the costs and then Ricoh can concentrate on whatever this new venture is.

I have worked for Ricoh a very long time and I have never seen such poor communication and lack of direction. Seems like all focus of the company is being directed towards dealers. One big sh–show.

Interesting, not sure what is meant by " Consolidate corporate functions into professional services organization " but I suspect that means a leaner organization that supports all 5 new organizations

"Allocate management resources" most likely means more management lay offs.

Obvious shift to separate Graphics and Industrial print from the rest of the organization

"Result of decrease in demand for office printing" is the only mention of non-production products could mean another shift to dealers.

"Create and develop businesses that contribute to solving major social issues " is weird

My guess they are working towards more of a pre-IKON organization, but more updated for current markets.
