Thread regarding DST Systems layoffs

Impossible demands?

No way this organization can continue to stay in business. They treat employees like abused slaves and make impossible demands. There are few clients. They treat clients as bad as employees.

Hundred percent true. If they treat clients as well as employees, that’s really bad, because I don’t know anyone who hasn’t met some unrealistic demands. What are your experiences like?

I quoted someone from another thread, I hope they won't resent me.

So they hired T to run sales when the past president was sleeping with the salesperson. They both got fired and T who ran sales who sold nothing got a promotion when Ben Stiller's older brother got fired. A few years ago I wanted to leave but there was momentum and strong talent from all the market being added but now all those are gone. We are done and I like many others are looking to leave.

Most of the industry leaders that once worked here are now gone. SS&C knows nothing about Healthcare Technology. They flounder around, take clients money and never produce. No way this company now ran by SS&C can stay in business.

Worse place I have ever worked. That is why I go out of there. You do have a choice, just leave, find another job. I feel for you people still working there trying to hold on.

The federal and state authorities need to look into the practices of this organization. We have complained and called state snd federal hotlines but nothing is ever done. There are employment laws being violated by this organization as well as healthcare compliance and integrity laws.

I dont know of a single employee that works here that is not looking for another job. The working conditions are worse than a sweat shop. Directors and above are so out of touch and most make impossible demands. The majority of managers left working here don’t have a clue. The good knowledgeable managers, directors and VP’s have either been laid off or left.

We had this program a while back named “Speak Up”. In this program employees were asked to speak up concerning bad treatment or any poor treatment of employees they may be experiencing or witnessing. The people that do “Speak Up” are contacted by Human Resources called in by their manager and terminated. If you Speak Up as they promote you will be shown the door.

Very true. We wonder everyday how they are able to stay in business treating both employees and clients like they do.

Unprofessional, unreasonable and unrealistic demands are put on us. We are asked to do things, perform tasks and work more hours than we are paid for. We have complained to HR and the state wage and hour boards but nothing is ever done. We are asked to work after hours and weekends to compensate for the lack of staff due to their frequent dismissal of employees and layoffs. Recently they just terminate employees that “speak up” about the demands and slave like treatment. They do firing of employees without cause to avoid layoffs. Everyone I work with is looking for another job.
