Shutdown is coming! Boeing knows just like before. Why do you think all the planes on the flightline are now being preserved and not getting delivered next month like they were supposed to.. and this goes across the board 767 777 787

My favorite is leaving work everyday, and the next shift is swarming over every square inch, taking up every turnstile, taking the left side of the staircase whoever possible, and walking shoulder to shoulder 3-4 people wide and not allowing the previous shift to leave. Its a good thing we're living in a time where we're not supposed to be giving each other space

Sorry to disappoint those expecting time off but the new state restrictions were announced,
WITH EXCEPTIONS TO.....

The new orders do not apply to schools or the court system, which are mostly operating remotely already. They also do not apply to child care, which is operating under its own guidelines. Construction and manufacturing businesses can also continue to operate.

The reason shutdowns keep coming up is because we are still in a health crisis aka pandemic and rules are made by government officials. Boeing is not an exemption to the rules, especially during this pandemic.

You really should face the reality that a shutdown may be on its way. The length of a shutdown is unknown ans as things constantly change, Boeing is not exempt from the change either.

There is no stopping the 2nd round of COVID now. Boeing will be forced to close factories once again to disinfect working areas.

A judge this week dismissed claims the company breached its fiduciary duty
to plan participants by failing to disclose safety issues with its 737 Max

In a class-action lawsuit filed last year, two Boeing retirement plan
participants alleged that the company breached its fiduciary duty to the
plan by failing to disclose safety issues with the model that were connected
to two crashes in 2018 and 2019 and quickly eroded the price of the
company’s stock.

But a federal judge on Thursday dismissed the lawsuit, writing in an order
that the defendants did not have fiduciary responsibility over the
Boeing VIP Stock Fund, which represented $10.8 billion at the end of 2018,
or about 19% of the Voluntary Investment Plan’s total $58.7 billion
at the time.
Further, the plaintiffs failed to plead that a prudent fiduciary would not have
known that proactively disclosing safety issues with the 737 Max would have
done more harm than good to the retirement plan, according to the judge’s order.

My usually tight lipped managers have indicated that a COVID shut down is on the horizon. I would wager unemployment vs. Boeing $$. I work in the Puget Sound region.

“Lock down” for two weeks like the first one. Not a 90 day shut down lol.
Will Boeing pay everyone to stay at hone again? Or sign up for unemployment? Just tossing out some questions
