State Street Layoffs in KC and around the country

Training: Up to 130 weeks of full-time or part-time training; paid at 100%
Trade Readjustment Allowances (TRA): Up to 130 weeks of income support, when combined with
Unemployment Insurance (UI), for workers enrolled in full-time training within 26 weeks of their trade-related layoff or 26 weeks of the petition certification date, whichever is later
Reemployment Trade Adjustment Assistance (RTAA): A wage subsidy for up to $10,000 or 2 years available to workers age 50 or over who are reemployed making less than their separation wage
Job Search Allowance: Up to $1,250 reimbursement for job search costs if traveling
outside of the worker’s commuting area
Relocation Allowance: Reimbursement for relocation costs for reemployment obtained
outside of the worker’s commuting area

It includes paid retraining (tuition reimbursement to go back to school OR On-the-Job-Training with your new employer and State Street pays up to HALF your new annual salary for 2 years of OJT), reimbursement for all moving expenses if you move out of state for a new job, unemployment compensation if you go back to school.

Care to put this in laymen’s terms? It looks like paid retraining and an extension on unemployment benefits.
