Any updates on the counts? Heard some teams were hit hard.

It would have been better for ARRIS to skip the Ruckus purchase, or at lease hire someone who knew enough to look under the covers and recognize how bad the Ruckus financials were.

What we thought is that Broadcom basically gave Ruckus to Arris so that they could purchase another company? Is that right? Of course Arris paid a low price for Ruckus. Is that correct? Because if that’s the case, wouldn’t they know they (both Arris & Commscope) know that they were getting someone’s leftovers? I mean if Ruckus was a winner, Broadcom could have found a higher bidder. Both Commscope and Arris came to the table lowballing and looking for breadcrumbs from Broadcom? They can’t be that naive? What are we missing?
"I must admit that becoming a part of CommScope was not the vision I had in mind for the future of ARRIS." Definitely not the vision any of us had, or wanted.

Interesting, but it kinda sounds like they wanted Ruckus because they maybe had no other vision?
Oh well... I guess the saying goes... Fool me twice. Shame on me.
???
"Moral of the story: Do not double cross Commscope."
You give CommScope management too much credit.
It would have been better for ARRIS to skip the Ruckus purchase, or at lease hire someone who knew enough to look under the covers and recognize how bad the Ruckus financials were. Plenty of other issues in ARRIS, including the inability to integrate products and product teams who all believe "change is good as long as the change is to use my tools and processes".
At the time of the CommScope acquisition, the ARRIS Chairman's final email included the line "I must admit that becoming a part of CommScope was not the vision I had in mind for the future of ARRIS." Definitely not the vision any of us had, or wanted.
What Business Unit?
Arris.
Arris bought Ruckus out from under Commscope.
Then Arris sold Ruckus/Arris to Commscope at a higher price.
Commscope is recouping their costs of overpaying Arris.
Moral of the story: Do not double cross Commscope.
What business unit?
7 HW Legacy ARRIS in Suwanee
Legacy ARRIS employees? How many in Suwanee and Horsham?

Anything you can share? Where were the layoffs? Products/teams? I've heard nothing. Thanks
