In its heyday, Teradata was always listed as one of the (if not the) top databases / data warehouse products in every relevant article. Now, there are barely any "mentions". Being listed as a (slipping) Gartner leader is not the same as relevance. Unless the "leaders" focus and dramatically change the focus/direction, one-time relevance will become obsolescence. More 'strategy' and 'product management' people who don't know the product aren't going to help. Ask any of them "when was the last time you ran ANY query on Teradata?"

Unless TD removes ME & CT, the company will never get out from the downward spiral it's going. Every RIF they lay off the people in the trenches to make the company look more profitable, but forget it's the ELT that are making the terrible decisions daily.

As a Teradata customer our CIO looks closely at the Gartner reports and last time he looked, it was still in the leader's quadrant. He laughs when other vendor's come through his doort and try to tell him how good they are and how they can replace our Teradata solution.
I think OR ran some AI on Vantage as he said in his Tesla videos. pure gold
