Pasadena is the last anchor remaining at the Macroplaza Mall and the last Sears in the Houston area. It was a busy store even late into 2019. The Macroplaza mall is nearly dead with about 20 stores and services left, and 1/3 of the mall was recently closed off to the public. Dillards and Macy's left the mall years ago. There are other shopping options in the vicinity of the mall, but Walmart is the only large store left nearby.

My bad, below. What I meant to write was that White Plains has a Sears, Kmart, and Target. But still, my points stands that the town isn't big enough for all 3, practically within walking distance of one another.

Just curious as to why these stores are so Geographically randomly located. Usually they clear out the last few stores in a specific state, or something, but these are literally all over the map. Also, it is White Plains not Planes. Honestly, White Plains doesn't surprise me as that town currently has a Kmart, Sears, AND a Walmart. I don't think any town (other than NYC or another huge city) is big enough for all 3 brands. Maybe they are just going to consolidate operations into the White Plains Kmart building.

I must also add that just 6 closings are disappointing. When he has 90-some odd, stores to get rid off, Six closings is only about 1/15 th of that. He needs to pick up the pace with these closings and stop pulling teeth at a snail's pace. Get rid of all of them now, blast them out and move on already. Focus on online shopping, or the small format stores, like the franchised Hometowns or whatever. Or don't do that and just do exclusively online. But these stupid 90, full line, obsolete stores need to be closed YESTERDAY. Get a move on. By New Years Day, every single last one should be announced as closing. Get it.

I was at the Pasadena TX store yesterday. This comes as no surprise, the store has been emptying out. They could easily pull everything from the second floor and fill the first floor with the remaining inventory.
