The only reason we were bought is so the new owners' malls wouldn't lose their anchors. They are not interested in running a retail operation. They just want to keep us functioning with least possible costs (as somebody already mentioned.) Expect layoffs, hour cuts, pay cuts, benefit cuts... I don't see anything good coming out of this for employees.

Liquidation plans for stores in the Namdar/Mason malls are in the works
One analyst put it perfectly ... that the purchase of JCP is just a fancy financial arrangement for a slower, more orderly liquidation.
Jcp is already running in a shoestring budget, you are way out of touch. Do you work at a store? If you do then you should know this...
Wonder what their plan is for the non mall locations?
