The company which makes $4.3B per year is valued $6.54 market capital. If I were a hedge fund manager,
I would buy the whole company stock now. If Juniper stops paying dividends and bonuses for one year, it will save $1B in two years. Then hedge fund can push R&D to India, laysoff people, and can easily sell JNPR @10B, and make $3B profit in 2 years.

Yes your analysis pretty much applies to any company that’s not a cloud company today. Take it private. Cut all CapEx. Maximize cash flow as it dies slowly over the next 10 years. Get filthy rich. Sell some I do the parts. Buy a villa on a cliff on Capri.
Where is Elliot now? They should come back and streamline Juniper again.
