is anyone going to accept the terms and sign the severance package? I think its very odd that the company is calling people asking if they need help with the paperwork almost as if they want us to sign it.

I may contact GA, I need to receive my severance pay. I did not return it when they requested it & I'm not convinced attorneys can help much with an age/descrimination law suit.
Has anyone received their severance pay yet?
I am actually thankful for this layoff. I was able to secure another job with a ~50% raise and better benefits. I agree it was targeted by who was called to the conference room with snickering managers just giddy to get rid of these good people. Pretty sad for the company.
I wasn't there but a couple of years but I decided to sign the papers however I haven't heard or seen the severance pay. Has anyone signed the papers and received anything back or severance pay?
i told them i shredded the severance package i just got a call from HR telling me they are sending me new paperwork and to not shred it and considered signing it.
They are calling bc GA wants to rehire for your position but can face a lawsuit if they rehire too fast. The lay-off will look targeted and not an elimination of the position. But if GA gets you to sign they can hire immediately bc you are waving your rights. If you have been at GA a long time it can be a tough choice to make
i told the HR rep that i was not signing and i got a call a GA manager the next day. Asking me why i wasn't going to sign the package he tried to sugar coat the terms laid out in the package and i told him i already spoke to a lawyer and know exactly whats in the package. something not right with this.
Interesting how HR calls after working hours to ask if you mailed in your separation package but when you call them you get the dreadful answering machine with zero return call back 🤨
