Thread regarding Raymond James Financial Inc. layoffs

Severance and taxes.

I hope everyone realizes that when you get that severance check it will be substantially less than the number you were given due to taxes and don’t spend that money to soon you’re 2020 tax return will be ugly as you probably are getting bumped into a higher tax bracket

I am planning on half of my severance to go toward taxes. If RJ doesn't take that much out I plan on putting it aside until I get my taxes done. It's been 2 months and there are no "technical" jobs out there. I just filed for Florida unemployment. Wondering how far $275 (if I get it) will take me. I hope this new stimulus goes thru after the election.
