About layoffs... you guys realize that marketing is just a bunch of blood s—ers blaming everyone for their lack of knowledge and hardware is just plain ineffective. The storm people should have been fired but instead are rewarded with more money

Contrary to HON, which has succeeded in software and hardware... we are not succeeding in anything.

Hardware screwed (more in comfort tho) software a mess with private interests in Austin (money changes hands) and marketing a disaster.
To top it off ... FLIR team is composed of talker and people that were going to be fired. The company keeps getting worse top leaders by choice. Who makes those hiring decisions? Board anyone? We are down to cook the books again?

The problem that will affect the size of the cuts is that shady deal of AMZ that mimic the disaster of T-Mobile who gave us DAs which is almost 3 year old tech.
Until FLIR gets that under control at the VP and above the situation and money pit will remain uncertain.

We’re getting close to thanksgiving and with FLIR taking control of the AMZ shaddy deal to avoid egg in the face there is a battle to jump in that deal
If FLIR doesn’t have total control that one will go in the water leading to even more layoffs

Numbers are good because of the older HON products selling at almost a pure profit . So no layoff for this year in USA.
- No pay cuts for all at VPs and above ranks which includes former demoted VPGMs
- Some pay cuts may happen for directors making more than 180k ( 4 in Austin, 3 in GV, 3 in Melville)
- Limited small scale layoffs will only occur at 2 locations: Bangalore (driven by Austin team) and Mougins (driven by Strasbourg team)

The guy climbed up while being incompetent because the legacy Hon did not hold him accountable . That is well known.. So many examples of the Melville and Mougins engineering leadership that just allowed him to BS and destroy capabilities... even the one in Mougins that ran off to marketing was on his knees in front of guy...and Melville... we need to reach the pension and stay in the company for a couple more years
So the guy that openly hates legacy HON people is going to be in charge of a team of legacy HON people? Ouch.

The RSI person will own fellows and the AMZ project (as the future CTO?) and Herman the German will report to him. (Herman was never able to manage him so the reverse is occurring)
The one director from Melville that claimed being the Zigbee guru will also report to him
Man of steel will move to security to put them back in order.
