Yes, this is REAL. It’s happening to me now! I have to re-interview for my own position. If I am NOT accepted / rehired, then we get a package and we have to jump through specific hoops on specific dates to obtain said package.
My situation is different, but I am interested in how they determined which specific hoops we have to jump through in order to get the package?

First. It looks like they will not rehire you for your same position because - you know - hr knows what it’s doing. And everyone was displaced “for a reason”. If you interview and get placed somewhere that you don’t want - well you are stuck with it until you basically leave because they are not going to let people move around for that magically two year window. If you turn their offer down then no severance. So this is basically like a Kroger hunger games. You’ve been offered up as tribute. You do not get to reapply for your own position. You apply for a job title and then they place you on a team that has that role. Somehow they know where you'll be successful... You have no idea what you're signing up for
You don’t HAVE to re-apply for your own position, but many of us love our team and the work we’re doing and would prefer to stay where we are.
No info on the severance, but if your new role is lower than your current, they’ve specified that your base pay won’t change. Other incentives will remain unchanged through the fiscal year and then be adjusted. They did also specify if you refuse a role you’re offered, you don’t get severance.
Does anyone have any details on the Severance Package that will be offered? Also for example if someone is currently making $100 per year and the new position that is offered only offers $80. If the associate declines the $80 offer then will the associate be denied the Severance?
You have to apply for your own position? I was under the impression you can apply to any position that is similar and not directly your own. Anyways, they are not making anything clear on purpose regarding package.
