What cloud division/roles? This is not the impression I got from what I heard.
When one simply shouts “Cloud...Cloud...Cloud” through marketing , rain does not happen.
One should know how to make the rain clouds Nd make them shower !
There’s a lot of difference between the two .....
“Cloud first” ...hmmm..no “rain first ?” ...not sure ..we will see in Oct 2021 again
I knew TD had a problem with execution. Proved once again on how they executed re-org. Clueless employees on what their team is or work is. Zero communication. Absolute lack of clarity on how this helps the goals.
Oh yeah we got new ELT and we have to something .. u know what we will take all teams and shuffle them randomly ... ok lets find a name for this circus !
It seems like with the reduction, the core people have to do both core+cloud.
Teradata is Cloud First in the sense that it was there first before cloud. That is all where similarities ends. Ask our CTO, he can explain
chopping dead wood will poise TD to come strong BIG TIME. stock going up like never before
I agree with the first comment, TD was already so behind with focusing on Cloud compared to other similar corporations, they have no choice but to make it look like "they're all about Cloud" as if they've been all along. What I'm curious about is how they let go of most Digital-related people, who will do the work?
I am sure it has not lost the Cloud First ambition, for a simple reason - there is no other option.
What I am not sure is that it has the ability. Even less sure after this week.
