Macy's set a cost-savings target of $1.5 billion by 2022.

Just read this on a "should you invest in a dirty sweat shop .com.."

Just kidding.. but it screams to me more cost cutting which means cuts in 2021 are coming then the 2nd round in 2022 . i know i know they do this every year.. but i think they will unload the 20-30 year vets as they promote the grunts under them to sell them the "dream" all over again... they had a program started in summer of 2019 which will grow from within ... which is a nice way of saying so longer s—ers your time is up...but i dont think its a negative thing.... Macys needs to unload some of the old guard who are stuck in their ways and are very corrupt and need to be shown the door.. expect cuts after xmas... if we even have one

In the middle of the never ending regional visit, taking pictures standing close together, people from around the state and country at the store not wearing masks as we bring in food. Nothing has changed, just keep moving the same old stuff around and around, take a picture standing next to it and send it to the new regional boss and post it on social media. No one seems to realize we are in the middle of a pandemic and several people have had tests. Cases blowing up all over the state with curfews and hours being cut and we don't seem to care about anyone getting sick with a lot of folks who were supposed to come not showing up.

Thats Macys. A sh– show and good at wasting money for unnecessary visits to put alot of unnecessary pressure and extra time away from family and loved ones around the holidays. They are just trying to justify their worthless jobs. Wait a joke. Those visits have no impact whatsoever on business. They just point fingers at each other and blame on another. Worthless company.

Save money, should cut down salary from the designer! No talent, Only copy cat from here and there to design. Also paid so much money on fitting garment, the fit is so so. You can dressing form all ready. Also spend a lot time and money on invest on 3D program. Crazy. Cut it off!!! If Fit technical of basic pattern concept incorrect, how you can have good fit. Got high salary and only manage people ( VP, Senior manager and manger in fit department are not doing fitting much) waste the money in here. Come on. Macys!!! This is bad blood!!

I just walked they my old store. It was a ghost town. There was no customers and very little associates. My gut feeling is this is the end of the line.

That’s crazy! All of our visits lately have been virtual. We literally push a laptop around the store while we are on zoom

Now that district teams have been eliminated the regional teams are taking their place. Our store hasn't had a manager that wasn't on leave for two years because the job and ever changing leadership is so bad. We had a less than stellar visit from our third different regional this year and now her team is coming back out to hold meetings and work projects for a week and their pulling in people from all over the state just a couple of weeks before Thanksgiving.

We are really looking forward to having a bunch of people driving in from around the state where covid is on the rise and flying a bunch more in from other states on planes so we can all work together on projects and sit through meetings with what is sure to be little chance for social distancing given the number of people coming. Can't wait to have all of them wandering around a building they don't know, to tell us how to do our jobs during the pandemic while we attempt to get ready for black friday.

If we're saving money it's not happening here, flying regionals out for a week and pulling in leaders from around the state to attend meetings and work on projects that we could do if we were staffed and scheduled enough help to do the work. Can't spend the payroll but no problem spending money on travel.

It's impossible keeping up with all of the things a stores supposed to do when we are missing leaders and aren't allowed to schedule the help needed to get it done, especially when we spend so much time on video calls and attending meetings. We continue to reduce spending but haven't figured out how to reduce unnecessary workload and time spent getting ready for unrealistic visit expectations.
