Thread regarding BP PLC layoffs

be careful what you wish for BP

look, simple model is keep downsizing and investing in renewables to the point they are worth doing.... I suspect 5000 to 10.000 strong at the end with a weak portfolio of renewable energy. Execs will still be execs and that is how it works. This is if it all works.

I neglected the mention that 5p doesn’t mean much when the station down the road is 6p cheaper to begin with!

5p/L is $0.2271/gal - that's not nothing. Average American fuel use would put that at about $155/year, about £120. About the same value as those fitbits.

UK fuel discount is only 5p per litre if it makes you feel any better...

Future bonuses will be electric cars or solar panels. No cash

An employee discount on EV charging and solar panels??? You have to be kidding!!! Lololololol. Look ... last year bp created a program that employees could pay into to offset their personal carbon footprint. Bp wasn’t paying for it - they strongly encouraged employees to pay. And in the US bp doesn’t offer discounts on fuel at retail stations.

I would like to know if we can get a discount on solar panels or a EV charging station for the house? Lets showcase our plan using the employees!!!
