Thread regarding IBM layoffs

IBM stock could be in for a rough ride with two neophytes at the helm

One wonders if IBM stock will test new 52 week lows or go even lower. There is no real story here to keep IBM's stock price up and the COVID pandemic is depressing IT sales. Is a stock price in the 80's or even the 70's possible? On top of this stormy economic condition, we have IBM being led by two neophytes in AK and JW, neither of whom has any serious experience in successfully running such a large business operation. Top it off with the uncertainties associated with the split up of GTS from IBM. This may be a real bad storm for IBM to deal with.

When everyone says sell a stock buy more... when they tell you to buy a stock sell it... then flip a coin heads sell.. tails buy... and do what that tells you to do! About as good stock advice that you'll get reading these posts. The only people that really control the stock market and know what it's about to do are way too rich to be giving any advice on these websites.

Somehow I think AK and JW have plenty of advisors on tap. It's not as though they will be making decisions in a vacuum.

Of course, if the situation is bad, best the advisors can do is recommend best way forward. Which may or may not save the ship, please Wall Street, etc.
