Thread regarding Accenture layoffs

Accenture is the most abusive relationship I have ever been in.

Accenture is the most abusive relationship I have ever been in. Over a decade here. Like a victim of domestic violence, right when you get ready to leave, they convince you that you can’t do any better. After all, this is Accenture, right? The best. It’s hearts and flowers.

What is even scarier is that I have seen countless people who were high performers get tossed out like they were actual pieces of trash. They were told “your services are no longer needed” after literal blood, sweat and tears.

Hooray for Julies latest mark with fortune, but you all need to seriously evaluate some of your Senior Managers making terrible decisions. I know they had to push people out this year, but people lost their jobs that were great and for what? Just to hang on to cloud folks for when the market picks up? Accenture does not treat people human at all.

Post ID: @3amz+17EJ1oUK - I am so sorry you reached this point....yes, this was one of the most difficult companies I worked for....really poor leadership, sometimes vicious colleagues though other times great people at the same level and younger support staff wonderful and have no idea what they are in for. I had one of the few Sr Leaders I worked for commit su----e after being pushed down in the organization. He gave his whole adult life to the company and they treated him like dirt. I am still stunned by the loss to this day. Anyone that reaches this point, know that this company is not worth your life. There is so much to do, experience and be. Anyone reaches that low, Pray - even if you are not faithful; Reach out to your friends and family, if in transition from that for any reason, set a goal to make new friends and family. There will be people there to help...don't hesitate to make a call. If all else fails, find a Catholic Church and go through the door. Their will be someone there with kind words and guidance. You don't need to be catholic or religious. Just get yourself there.

GodSpeed to all the war lorn from Accenture.

This is so true, I was with accenture from 2015-2018. After two of my managers went on maternity leave, at the same time, all their applications were given to me (Product Owner). I managed 10 applications on a daily basis and still they tagged me as not performing well. Mind you, I have a teammate who just handled 2 or 3 applications, but still, I'm the one tagged as PIP.

If I did not leave Accenture, I might have been dead by now due to stress and Senior Manager saying "we are paying you so do your job by how much we are paying you" I'm like b*tch, balance the workload so I can do my freakin job properly.

I'm so glad I left this he-l on earth and joined another company whom we are all friends with our senior managers.

this freaking SM is a director now. I hate this person with my whole heart I even unfriended it from facebook. yes it because I'm not even sure if it is human. what a shame this company is still doing the same thing to people. shame shame shame

Yup, laid off last year, worst exit experience with HR I've ever had....well, I had not other exit experience but it was worse than I could ever imagine...and I have top marks. Shameful and embarrassing for a company to treat people like this.

What's worse is that it is serial abuse from leader after leader after leader. Worst place I ever worked looking back.

For those that are young enough to escape, find anything else if you can and only look to Accenture as a torture chamber that pays a paycheck.

Accenture looks for cheap submissive employees. Accenture revenue goes to the partner level, while managers are tasked with the job to find cheap obedient bodies to do the work. Rinse & repeat.

Welcome to the business model of the Big4

Agree, I was advised that "my services were no longer needed" after 3 years of top marks, bonus etc. Within 2 months I found an organization that did need my services. Accenture's decisions are purely financial right now. Do not take it personally, and do not take it forever. There are great companies out there. Accenture might be great for some, but if not for you then exit!

It sounds like SO many go through the same experience I did at Accenture. You give your life and soul and work round the clock and as soon as you question the bad management decisions you are GONE with no warning or reason OR recourse. It happens so often to great employees who are so much better off out of that toxic environment. Sad thing is you think your management cares. THEY DON'T. They use you up and spit you out and don't care in the least. Accenture is the worst to their employees.

I agree 500%. Accenture treats people like dirt. Uses up and tosses out like an old shoe. Management is in NO place to make the decisions they do because they have no clue what is needed and they wont listen to the people who do know. Worst career move ever.

I am still until today suffering from my previous experience at Accenture , I was also a victim of this evil company, the reason is the management. I remember last year I reached a level in which I though about s–c-de , it was the worst company i have ever worked for .
