Thread regarding Boeing Co. layoffs

If you have recently been laid off from Boeing

I suggest you visit your local job or workforce system, no matter which state you are in, as a petition for Trade Act services was recently approved for Boeing workers all across the nation - https://www.doleta.gov/tradeact/petitioners/taa_search.cfm - search Boeing if it is not already there. Workers whose jobs were affected by foreign trade may be eligible for additional benefits including a variety of benefits and reemployment services to help unemployed workers prepare for and obtain suitable employment. Workers may be eligible for training, job search and relocation allowances, income support, and other reemployment services.

So agree! Got ILO in July, just took a position. They actually created a position around my skills. Boeing leadership never took the time to learn my strengths and skills. I had 3 mangers and 2 directors in a year and 1/2. (The manager that hired me moved me right after I finished training for his team. Very toxic environment. I have the same advice as - above get out of Boeing fast. My background is accounting and IT. The job market is better than the last time I looked. Also agree F..k Boeing and The management. They actually didn’t mean to but they did me a favor !

Yes, thank you for posting this! I benefitted from Trade Adjustment Act way back in 2002. Paid for school, tools, I believe also extended unemployment benefits.
