Thread regarding Fluor Corp. layoffs

Fluor has got to address overhead costs.....maybe a start.

Starting to see some signs of some waking of FLR leaders. Houston showing signs as a long term imaginary leader got cut down this week. Guy has treated people like c-ap and been totally self promoting on initiatives while not reporting the facts. Told folks “they don’t get it, you are part of the problem, you’re in the weeds, you’re making this too hard” for more than a few years now.

So maybe FLR will have real accountability. Need to see many more ovhd cuts but this is a start! For a company that touts it’s people as an asset....they just got stronger in Hou. BYe bye Joel!

lol looks like old timers retired in mass about 5 yrs ago there underlings thinking they could do the same job found out they could not. I wonder what the update employee numbers are now, no way they are over 40k workers. I would guess there is only 5k skeleton crew employed inside the US. What a sh– show, If I was a POS commie Democrat in Blue county Fort Bend I would be pissssssed the #1 employer in the county has slashed there workforce by 90% and effectively cut taxable wages collected by the county. But WHHHAAAAATT EVVVVAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!! SHIIIIIIIIIET!!!!!

Better choice of words is squeezed out. Last 15 to 20 years of his resume is total fluff. Even Spinks retirement announcement on this clown was fake. Joel was a late add to Dow PDH to help build a case for Shawn to get some b—s— award from ENR. Then a direct hire supervisor suffered cardiac arrest in an argon purge at 3 am welding out the reactor piping! He was never in charge of engineering! Will not even ask how he was such a driving force behind the epic Nex Gen failure! Even Spinks could not carry his lame a– in the end. Dumb a– piper from start to finish.

At least they replaced the piping designer with a real engineer...so there's that. Hopefully someone will realize now how QRS is crippling projects.

Too little too late. Self serving incompent bureaucrat who promoted his sycophants. Wait, these words are too difficult for "management" to understand. Hence "management" keeps other incompetents in place. Fluor is doomed with "world class tools" from the 1990s.
