As a long time employee the first thing that ran through my mind when I realized I was being laid off was disbelief. I had dedicated so much to this company and given my loyalty from day one. I was terrified during those first days after. I am no spring chicken, rather I am a tough old bird who has quite a few years left until I am able to retire. What company is hiring in the industry? What company would be considered stable?
As I type this I am getting furious. Was everything done within the ELTs power to avoid these layoffs? I just don’t know. The only thing I do know is there are hundreds of employees with families they are responsible for that are now unemployed - myself included. I hope it was worth it Paclife.
