Lean is great, it reduces headcount thus making GE more competitive.
Tell us where you are experiencing this issue. I will organize a lean event. I will send a cross section of 30 people from various sites to your location. We will use the Kaizen approach to lessen the number of times to enter a password from three to two times.
Then we will overestimate the time and cost savings to justify the event. (Which, by the way, will never be questioned nor double checked). Then comes the celebration. (Except you because it didn't really solve much and even in some cases caused even more unseen issues downstream).
