Management is bull sheet, they make engineer to be less productive by interrupting frequently and adding excessive process.

There is by default by targeting more expensive HC when cuts are done. Laying off top rated, top paid employees who have been recently promoted only makes sense when it's purely about cost. The company is run so poorly across the board. Eventually the technology lead will dwindle, the inability to integrate acquisitions effectively will catch up and the Dell Spinout will expose other weakness.

H1B are way cheaper than citizens and they say “Yes” to the boss on everything.

Moreover, it helps Indians to grow their dominance of vmw. See EUC and Indians how at least 93% of any management chair is Indians.

There are certainly plenty of major issues at vmware.
There has been no wide age discimination as far as I see.
There has been an extreme overuse of H1B to grow the cheap (and not very qualified) labor pool. Maybe age discrimination is coming....
