When layoff coming the management move the people they want to keep around to avoid the layoff,they always said layoff by seniority but they never .10 years person got layoff but 2 years person still stay .no thing especial but they do what they want .

So true. I will never get over getting layers off in May. It was my very first job after College. I got laid off from my team in BGS then management brought 3 more people to the team from BCA.
I retired from Boeing Portland in January. Having the right friends helped some real j@ckoffs. What's the latest news there in Oregon?

File a complaint with the Oregon State Labor Commissioner, that should get their attention.
Happens all over Boeing....I got notice in May to be laid off in July. They had just moved 3 people into my dept. it’s all about who you know not your skills and work ethic. I’m glad to be gone from Boeing extremely toxic environment. Everyone is out for themselves no sense of team.
It shows that the IAM is powerless and worthless.
If they do like that ,nobody want to working hard for them .
