20 years ago, CEO Mr Lau fully supported hundreds of newcomers’ first professional jobs in Husky. Immigrants from all over the world sincerely appreciate Husky oil and would forget Husky forever. Thank you, Mr. Lau

John Lau ran the company into the ground. Husky never got meaningful stakes in the Bakken, Montney, Viking, eagleford, Permian, Marcellus etc and all sorts of mid cap companies did. The company was never nimble under him and simply couldn’t replace declines with good future plays on a regular basis.
A good hearted CEO
John Lau was a horrible CEO, anti technology guy who kept us down for a long time, I remember when he tried to spin a new company off with all the Asia/Pacific assets as he want to move back to Hong Kong, when when the shareholders (Li Ka Shing) shut him down he quit, but I will say he was better than Gosh or Peabody, lol those two have k–led the company.
