Thread regarding Fossil Inc. layoffs

Senior Leadership Team

So, are we supposed to actually believe that this new Senior Leadership Team is going to actually do something for the company? Seems like a great way to mask raises for those in top positions while the rest of us take our pay cuts this year and watch our associates get laid off.

Seriously. This “leadership team” is made up completely of people who won’t even make eye contact with a fellow employee under the VP level. All of us are in the team, guys. I don’t want to be “led” by someone who looks down their nose at me.

With the way things are looking for you all is that your pay cuts this year will eventually turn into job loss next year if not sooner. Especially when they can and probably have brought in contractors to finish out what remains of the US office. It's cheaper to let go of contractors than it is FT staff...less UI they have to answer for or payout.

I'm afraid none of these people know the meaning of innovation.
Probably in their mind innovate is just following what other brands are doing...

A complete joke. If anyone can name one success these people have had in the last decade, raise your hand. These people are not innovative in anyway. In fact, they are much of the problem. KK: Wake up and smell the Starbucks. These people are ripping the company off and you allow it.

Anyone else tired of hearing the buzz words 'disrupt' and 'digital distortions'? If the company REALLY wants to disrupt and distort, start with replacing the team that has lead the company to the sad place we are in and get some fresh ideas. Wouldnt it be nice to have some management that actually took risks and had confidence in their ideas and the ideas of those that are under them? What's the worst that could happen? Stock prices go down?! Ha

What kind of innivations they can bring and why they did not bring them 3 years ago? This is just hilarious.

Innovation, ok. Ask them to give you a definition of what that word means. Could it be the technology it sold to google for pittance, or maybe the engineers (IP creators) it transferred in that same deal. These folk were value creators, dare I say innovators. Where do they see value creation coming from, new titles? Please. It’s the company where “you get a title, a.....nd you get a title!”. Don’t be fooled. Oh!, and the reason they got rid of innovators, middle and upper management were upset they were being paid more than them.

The salient issue is that, regardless of whatever snappy, Marvel-Comics-inspired title is slapped on this minute's latest committee, the current leadership is not made up of innovators. Had they any ideas or original thoughts, they would have produced them by now. It's the classic rearranging of deck chairs, just with utterly worthless human capital.

Most remarkable to me is how KK continually expects different results from the same formula. To get a new sum, one must change the values. Offload some of these overpaid, old-school businessMEN and incorporate frozen assets, currently incapacitated by the limited imagination of your bloated middle-management and HR.

I find it as an outdated management idea. It would be better if (at least) the innovation committee would consist of people with different management levels. All for one?

This is f*cking ridiculous, what does this team supposed to do?
They spend entire 2020 to come up with this...bravo Kosta, seems you are still blind and have a bunch of clowns managing your company...
