Leaving on my own, and vacation

If I leave the company on my own, for a new job, will I still receive pay for my unused vacation days? Trying to figure this out and determine whether or not I need to take a long vacation before I give my two/three weeks notice. Thanks!

You will get paid for vacation as long as you report how much vacation you should be paid for...make sure to reply to the random email verifying that you are tracking it.

Take your vacation...You will be paid but it is taxable during 2020...so it is not worth as much as simply time off to recharge your batteries. Take the holidays off and start your new job fresh and eager in early January...But go on payroll in Dec. Maybe even get your new company to get you set up online and get your new computer and do a little homework and study the company during your time off so you look and sound really impressive when you show up...The HALO effect will work to your advantage, especially since their ranking system is probably in 1 or 2 Q...and you will be competing with people with a full year of contribution...Your first impressions matter ALOT in your first assessment and especially if they relative rank.

No more 401k match so take vacation or two weeks the same. Tell them you are working for a competitor so you get walked out the gate the same date you turn in two weeks notice and still get those two weeks plus vacation. F them

Yes you will. Just make sure you tell your supervisor how many days you have left and use Up all the flexible holidays and comp time before your two weeks. I did the same and got paid a month later. It takes awhile to get the final pay
