Thread regarding ExxonMobil Corp. layoffs

Oil market consolidation - Where is EM?

Mergers and acquisitions are busy throughout North America (Permian and oil sands) where are we? Still haven’t updated / deviated from 2017 plans? Spending all our time and energy on how to spin the “short term delay”? We should be buying everyone up if we believe the market has O&G priced all wrong if the long term fundamentals remain strong.

CVX just announced 25% layoff of Noble employees. Maybe CVX should buy XOM and layoff 25% of XOM employees.

Sure but look at your share :-) Who wants it? Oxy might be the only one!
We basically have worthless paper at this time, good only for our management that gets it at $0.
We are likely a target for acquisition rather! Especially once we reduce headcount. Don’t be surprised if the next CEO has a name like Al-something!

Don’t need cash to buy another company if they’re willing to accept shares.

So much debt and falling equity means technically bankrupt.. looks like it is getting there soon.

EM has no cash to make an acquisition- to much debt to borrow anymore $$$

Permian plays are garbage right now. Exxonmobil is dodging a bullet by staying out of it.
