Too many people (and I am talking managers) are leaving right now on their own. People with cushy jobs who do very little as it is and get paid too much for it. Why would anybody leave a situation like? I doubt they can find anything better, since most of them got their positions through nepotism. The only reason I can think of for them leaving is that they know something the rest of us don't. Which makes me nervous.

"There is nothing that is off the table. We've taken out substantial cost. We are going to take out more cost. Nothing is off the table in terms of what the future looks like."
So, the question is not whether there will be headcount reduction, but when/how many?
Hopefully, employees will be allowed to enjoy Christmas.
Pretty much there has been an head count reduction every quarter since the acquisition to make the numbers look pretty. The new CEO appears to be more excited about fiber than he is about wireless, and I doubt that the company will be able to bring new wireless products to the market within 270 days which will turn things around at CPE. His primary mandate is to revive the stock price which means drastic cost reduction, which translate into more layoffs. CPE numbers are trending in the wrong direction which makes it highly visible to the bean counters. Divestiture/sale of business units are all distinct possibilities as mentioned by Lightreading.
What is this? Every quarter now?
CPE got "rightsized" about 6months ago. Does it need doing again?
Q3 results clearly identified CPE as the next division which will be right sized, again. I expect that packages will be handed out as Christmas 2020 presents.
Quarterly results were good?
Thats October done with and nothing has happened. I would have thought there would've been some action before the quarterly results
Meraki has announced an LTE access point similar to Commscope Ruckus.
- ) How many Ruckus Engineers left Ruckus to work for Meraki on the Meraki CBRS project?
- ) Will Cisco purchase an EPC and SAS company similar to what Ruckus and Commscope have, or does Cisco already have, or will they just use Federated or Google SAS?
- ) Is Ruckus making any money on OnGo, or is it going down the toilet, like in their video (2:39 seconds)?

"Maybe a third of the company runs like a Telco."
"Maybe a third manufacturer fiber cables."
"Maybe a third are silicone valley and stock is in the tanks."
Fiber lead-times are very long for most cable manufacturers – that part of the business should be making plenty of money.
Maybe a third of the company runs like a Telco.
Maybe a third manufacturer fiber cables.
Maybe a third are silicone valley and stock is in the tanks.
The numbers may vary. But maybe a cash strapped company does not pay well. Maybe need customers.
Sinking ship.
The grim outlook of layoffs have become the company's most reliable product? They bought these companies. Do they have anything to show for it?
I'm inclined to agree. A new CEO brought on board without a face-saving transition period. His background isn't a natural fit. That imply he is an axeman who will be swinging his axe dispassionately to cut costs. As usual, it will be the company's most valuable asset who will be trimmed. Lightreading posit that Carlyle was behind the change in CEO. Perhaps they are looking to prepare the company in readiness for April 2022 when their stand-still expire and they will be free to take the company private?
