Peak oil is the theory that we have reached highest production because we cannot find anymore. Peak demand is we hit highest production and are scaling back to manage supply.
So no, I do not think we have hit peak oil. Peak demand is a possibility.
Peak oil, peak gasoline, peak diesel, maybe.
Peak hydrocarbon? Not a chance.
