If its only NPV and oil prices holding this b–ch back then who cares about the stockholders Einstein?
As long as stupid Oxy and their stupid employees keep being stupid, yes.
It is not market capitalization that counts here. It is net present value of the company’s assets relative to debt that matters. At these oil prices the debt most likely exceeds net present value but at higher oil prices it starts to become positive. But how much longer should the stockholders be patient?
The next big news will be Chapter 11
