Thread regarding Occidental Petroleum Corp. layoffs

Chazen, please fire Hollub!!

The board of directors’ #1 job is to hire/fire the CEO. What are you waiting for? All confidence has been lost. Do it now!!!

It is sad to read these posts about people losing retirement money on Oxy stock. Please do believe that your greatest asset is in keeping your job and current income during the COVID crisis. Things will turn around even if you have to forget about Oxy stock coming back to levels like before.

#2. Institutionals voted with their feet - they sold - as expected! That’s why the stock plummeted! They didn’t get any direct vote on Vicki.

Points 3 and 4, I agree with you.

Point #1: Chazen narrowed it to Willie and Vicki - beyond that he stepped out and board decided. Board picked wrong.

OP
Chazen selected VH, no way would he admit it was a mistake.

What I can’t get is that institutional shareholders kept her after the dismal APC transaction where VH and EC did end around on shareholders to avoid a vote that they would’ve lost.

Big losing bet by VH and her EC was doubling down on the Permian Shale Ponzi Scheme even before the APC buy.

Also does no one any good to have LOXY snipe at LAPC and vice versa. Y’all need to work to keep the boat afloat until oil prices go back up.

Many of us are hurting bad with our Oxy investment. At least when we got a dividend that helped the pain of a stock price drop. VH needed to stay on the technical side running a BU, but never as the CEO. She will not leave on her own because she is hoping for a rebound, but that may never happen. Sometimes it is best to move on.

She needs to go along with the EC and BoD
She is doing more damage to the company than all of the LAPC slackers put together
Who voted to keep this woman in her job?
