Thread regarding Disney layoffs

Committed to myself

I was in the last group of furloughs and for the first few days afterwards I was hesitant on whether I should stick it out or move on. But I had to ask myself, who should I be more committed too? So I started sending out my resume and got some interviews, which seemed promising. I have always been committed to Disney, sometimes putting the company before my own needs, but no more. Others will probably stay and wait it out, and that’s great for them. I wish everyone nothing but the best, but I'm moving on.

Super smart, and I hope more follow suit. Down the road Disney will likely bounce back, so I’m sure folks that want to go back some day can find their path back in. For now I agree, it’s the best time to be aggressively fighting for jobs at other companies. You got this!!

I agree! Waiting for something that might or might not happen is a horrible feeling. Ive decided not to let Disney dictate my future. Theres not much out there job wise, but Im sending resumes out. I don’t have a good feeling about them bringing us back.

Very smart. I should have done the same back in June. I worry for those that stick it out only to find that in April they get let go.
