Fifth Third is silently laying off people since this summer. CIO wants to replace everyone with GE. The company culture is very toxic, it is favorable to 1. to white base 2. you need to be friends with upper management 3. friends with SLK

I like how Fifth Third IT embraces diversity but ensures that the Indians can't ever step into executive positions, bc whe they do, nepotism at its finest will occur, just like with all other IT organizations the Indians have infiltrated. Firing white software developers, stealing their code & helping their stinky brown homies back home get visas. They're taking over IT for the last 30 years & it's FAR worse than you could imagine, not exaggerating here
Next round of layoff is expected:

Besides GE, the recent hires from CapitalOne created another toxic inner circle. It's not about delivering results, it's all about the friends and connections. The people who really know the system and applications either left the bank voluntarily or were let go. They brought in many new people having no experience with the banking business and applications. This is why the bank has had many recent production outages since last years.
Wells Fargo did the same thing, new CIO, Agile this that and the other, seen his kind before, he will be gone in a few years just like the ones before him.
I am in IT and I know and can compare IT during Imaneni’s time and our IT today. It was the dark ages then. The doze of new blood that replaced the backwards and non-delivering managers was a blessing IMHO. It used to be that we would complain about the lack of training but these days, free training is being offered all over the place but the employees are the ones backing away saying they’re too busy. Employees can’t afford to be laid back especially now that almost everyone is working remote. Everyone in IT need to deliver.
It s—s because he will bring down the fifth third just like GE. His Agilist group is a joke. The funny part is, Arvind Immaneni was hired to these things, since he is colored, management let him go. Now the current CIO is white, it is ok for everyone to do these nasty things.
Overall fifth third IT is a whitewash.
The CIO is from GE (General Electric) Aviation which is right up the road from Cincinnati. Since taking over, he has replaced the majority or his directs and senior mgt with his buddies from GE. For the past year or so, aforementioned buddies have been relegating or firing the management below them and replacing them with their friends - also from GE. It’s rotten to the core in IT.
how did you find out?
any severance package?
what's GE?
